How do I get started?
Book a discovery call by clicking the links on the website. If there isn't a time that works for you, fill out the contact us form and we will reach out to get you started.
How long does it take to see results?
Results take time, but if you’re consistent, they will come. If you are a beginner, results will come fairly quickly; even in only 30 days, you may start to see a difference in your strength and overall fitness.
What is the parking situation?
There is street parking on Linderman Ave and overflow parking on the West side of Eddyline Brewery; park in front of the pallets. Please do not park in front of bay door 1, or in the BV public library parking lot.
What sets you apart from other gyms?
Our head coach and co-owner is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Walter’s expertise lays the foundations for a unique & professional gym environment with effective programming, coaching and emphasis on exercise modification for all individuals. Effective warmups and cool downs help to minimize risk of injury and aide in recovery.
How often do you recommend coming to workout classes?
If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with 2 to 4 classes a week, with the goal of working up to 4-5 a week after your first few months. It may take a while for your body to get used to training at that intensity, so listen to your body and know you will need recovery time between training days. Our first goal is consistency and good mechanics, then intensity. Intensity gets us results but it is unrealistic to give 110% everyday. It is ok to show up to the gym, adjust to how your body feels and dial back the intensity.
Can I shower at the gym?
Yes! We have two ADA accessible restrooms and showers. We provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Please bring your own towel as we do not provide towels.
Do you provide free refreshments there?
We have filtered water available to our members. We have protein powder and other recovery products available for purchase.
Do I have to be fit to join?
No! No matter what your current fitness level is, you can get started right away. Each workout is programmed with Advanced, Intermediate, and Beginner options. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve fitness, and move you toward your goals. Our program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. Trust the process and keep showing up!
What payment methods do you accept?
We prefer payment via ACH (automatic bank transfer), this saves us 2% on processing fees per membership and allows us to upgrade equipment often. We understand that doesn't work for everyone and we accept all major credit and debit cards. We can accept cash payments in person as needed. We do not accept personal checks.
What kind of exercises can I expect during a workout?
Our class programming will include a good warmup and cool down everyday. Workouts will vary day to day in length and stimulus and will include weightlifting, body weight or gymnastics movements, and/or cardio (monostructural) movements. You can expect things like push-ups, rowing, deadlifts, cleans, and many more movements. Your coach will thoroughly describe each movement and provide you with appropriate options based on your current abilities.
Do I have to stop eating my favorite foods to be healthy?
No! A healthy lifestyle has to be manageable and realistic for the long term. Do enjoy special indulgences and meals! The healthier you are, the healthier you tend to want to eat. You get hooked on feeling good, and junk food just isn’t worth it. By avoiding excessive amounts of refined carbohydrates and paying attention to your intake of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, you will see dramatic, measurable increases in health.
